2026 Lakshmi Mahalingam CMI

Lakshmi Mahalingam in Boston

" My internship at Fraunhofer CMI was a transformative learning experience that strengthened my interest in biomedical research. Through this internship, I gained exposure to the field of rapid diagnostics and microfluidics while applying the concepts and techniques I learned during my undergraduate studies in Biotechnology. I also had the opportunity to explore and work on different projects, which allowed me to further develop my analytical and problem-solving skills. The supportive environment at Fraunhofer CMI, along with the freedom to explore new ideas and learn through experimentation enabled me to grow as an aspiring scientist. I am grateful for this invaluable experience and truly enjoyed living, learning and working in Boston for the first time. "
