My internship at Fraunhofer CMI has been one of the most enriching experiences of my academic journey. My main project focused on understanding bacterial tolerance in clinical isolates under stress conditions, which allowed me to deepen my expertise in microbiology and data analysis. At the same time, I had the opportunity to explore other fields, such as tissue engineering, which significantly broadened my skills set.
The multidisciplinary nature of the Bio team’s projects is something I truly appreciated, as it gave me a glimpse into the incredible work being done in research and development within the biological field. Moreover, working in a multicultural environment where experts from diverse disciplines contribute to innovative research was truly inspiring. Fraunhofer’s unique approach of bridging academic research and industrial applications provided me with valuable insights into how science can address real-world challenges.
I am deeply grateful for this experience, which not only helped me grow as a scientist but also emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in shaping the future of research.
