"I am having a great experience here so far, met nice people and got the chance to gain insight into a lot of different projects. Projects and people here are very diverse and come from a lot of different research backgrounds, which helps to get an idea about the variety of research conducted in the field of renewable energy systems. I especially liked our fieldwork in New Mexico, where we conducted face-to-face interviews. Above that I have learned a lot about new interesting research approaches to explore people’s energy usage behavior and attitudes, which will help me to write my master’s thesis when get back to Germany."
