East Lansing, Michigan, July 2017

The Fraunhofer USA Center for Coatings and Diamond Technologies (CCD) offers tours to students participating in MSU’s High School Engineering Institute (HSEI)  co-ed program open to both U.S. and International students.

In the course of the program approx. 200 Students are given an introduction to CCD’s diamond research as well as some of the research projects being conducted. This provides participants an opportunity to learn about careers in engineering and to witness firsthand the type of technologies being developed at CCD/MSU. Students are also given an overview of how the Fraunhofer Organization functions as a whole. This will hopefully inspire them to become Researchers, Inventors, and Entrepreneurs just as our namesake (Joseph von Fraunhofer) was.
